On July 18, at the prominent sub-forum "AI-enabled Ocean" of the 2026 WAIC(World Artificial Intelligence Conference),Marautec was selected as one of the "AI-enabled Ocean Innovation Practice Cases Awards" for its "AI-based visual perception aided navigation application in complex waters." The application relies on the self-developed solution "Marautec i-EYE" which integrates multi-source data including AI vision, radar, and AIS to overcome the challenges of target perception in complex waterways.

This award marks that AI vision technology has entered a phase of mature implementation in the smart ship sector, providing a replicable demonstration model for the industry's intelligent upgrade. It also holds positive exemplary significance for promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence technologies with the maritime industry and accelerating the cultivation of new quality productive forces in the sector. Also selected in the same cohort were cases from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, COSCO Shipping, the Shanghai Chart Center of the East China Navigation Safety Center, China Unicom, and others, covering diverse application scenarios and offering practical references for the digital transformation of the entire industry.
